1km, 8km, and 16km data sets for the Brazilian Amazon

Data description

These data sets are ascii flat files with three columns of data. Column #1 is easting/westing Sinusoid meters, column #2 is northing/southing Sinusoid meters, column #3 is area of cover type in square meters. The Sinusoid meter coordinates represent a grid cell center-point. The area of cover type is the total area of that specific cover type within the grid cell.

Cover type codes are: 1 = forest, 2 = deforested, 3 = water, 4 = cloud, 5 = cerrado.
